We kicked off the Formula Drift season with a bang (a couple of them actually)! Long Beach is always the toughest track of the year as it is the first stop after a long off season and one of the most intimidating. The track surface is very unpredictable and the slightest error or correction can send you into dangerous territory. But what a way to shake off the nerves and get pumped for the season! We had a very successful start to the year. Thursday we were chosen to be a part of the historic parade through the streets of Long Beach where we got to meet with fans and show off our fresh new look for 2023. Friday was qualifying and we ended up qualifying 12th which put us against our Kenda Tire teammate, Ola Jaegar for our first battle. On Saturday we ultimately took the win against Jaeger, placing us in the Top 16. We were lucky enough to be part of the driver introductions on the LiveStream and got to witness the Inaugural Hall of Fame ceremony. In the Top 16 we were faced against another Kenda Tire teammate, Forrest Wang. I ultimately ended up on the incorrect line after initiation causing me to hit the rumble strips in both my lead and follow, upsetting the vehicle and allowing Wang to take the win. Going into Round 2 we are sitting in 9th overall in points and are very happy with how we have kicked off the year. As always, we could not do it without all of the amazing partners, fans, friends and family who support me on this journey. So a special thanks to you!
